The European Network of Transmission System Operators for Gas (ENTSOG) has launched a public consultation on its Ten Year Network Development Plan (TYNDP) 2015.

The consultation on the list of projects proposed for the PCI label in energy infrastructure concluded on the 31st of March 2015. Regulation (EU) no 347/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 April 2013 on guidelines for trans-European energy infrastructure (the TEN-E Regulation; identifies 9 priority corridors and 3 thematic areas and defines a procedure and criteria for a project to become a Project of Common Interest (PCI).

Following the cross-regional meeting on electricity which took place last 26th January in Brussels, the Regional Group meeting took place on Monday 9th March in Brussels, at the Committee of the Regions. Its main objectives were to finalise the discussions on the JRC assessment method, finalise the discussion on the list of projects to be further assessed, and to continue to the extent possible on the specific project assessment, among others.

The file application that signals the start of the permit granting process was submitted on 25th February 2015 to the General Secretariat of Investmentsand Development, under the Ministry of Economy, Competitiveness and Shipping.
In preparation of the Ten-Year Network Development Plan 2016 (TYNDP) ENTSO-E organised a public stakeholder workshop for inclusion of transmission and storage projects. The workshop took place on 25 February 2015, at the ENTSO-E premises in Brussels. - State of play of the 2nd PCI evaluation process
- Updated Terms of Reference of the Regional Groups
- Project evaluation process and tools
- Electricity Highways priority area (COM)
- Eligibility of projects for PCI evaluation and the next steps in the process
On 21 November 2014, the Commission adopted a Decision on the selection and award of grants for actions contributing to projects of common interest under the Connecting Europe Facility in the field of trans-European energy infrastructure.
