INEA has signed the first 15 Connecting Europe facility (CEF) grant agreements to support projects improving trans-European electricity and gas infrastructure. 34 projects worth €648 million in total EU contribution have been selected under the 2014 CEF Energy call for proposals.

The European Network of Transmission System Operators for Gas (ENTSOG) has launched a public consultation on its Ten Year Network Development Plan (TYNDP) 2015.

The consultation on the list of projects proposed for the PCI label in energy infrastructure concluded on the 31st of March 2015. Regulation (EU) no 347/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 April 2013 on guidelines for trans-European energy infrastructure (the TEN-E Regulation; identifies 9 priority corridors and 3 thematic areas and defines a procedure and criteria for a project to become a Project of Common Interest (PCI).
